POTTERS WINNERS: Hopton-on-Sea
On Apr 29, 2026 143
Another brilliant week at Potters Hopton-on-Sea (writes bowls manager Les Gillett). We had teams from all over the UK – from Scotland to London, and we were even treated to a number of players from the Netherlands with one of them reaching the quarter-final stages
With some exceptional play from all teams, we saw a number of hybrid teams make the quarter-finals, with teams from Bounds Green and Headwell completing the line up.
But it was Headwell and a hybrid team competing in the final.
It was a close affair after the first few ends, but it was the hybrid team that stamped there authority on the game and ran out comfortable winners.
Winners (main photo) were: Kevin Felts, Sheila Hilliard, Alan Brummitt and Gary Burns
Runners-up seen below were: Ian Innes, Alfred Falconer, Bill Rodger and Bill Ramsey
